Caravan - Next Generation HID Light Systems

"Great product that really got us through the winter darkness of Alaska nicely. One of our pilots came back after the first night landing and said that he about jumped out of his seat on short final when he saw something ahead and below him at about 500'... It was the ground terrain and trees he had flown over many times before at night but he could never see it until we installed the Boom Beam lights on the 208B Caravan. Now our pilots see the ground well before the threshold of the runway! Nice!

By the way, we discovered another major benefit of your lights. When compared to LED's that we removed, we found that the LED light frequently makes a very bad "strobe" effect when flying through snow at night. With your Boom Beams there is no "strobe" effect at all. Our pilots can leave them on in heavy snow without the disorienting strobe effect of the LED's. All of these are major benefits when flying at night, in the snow, landing at a black hole airport, like we do EVERY night here in the winter. We are now in the process of converting all of our aircraft to the Boom Beam lights."

LoPresti Aviation now offers the BoomBeam HID light for the Lancair, Columbia, and Cessna aircraft so there is no excuse to fly with poorly performing lighting any longer. LoPresti Aviation's specialty is engineering and manufacturing of High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting system known as BoomBeams and we have updated both the landing and taxi light to the latest generation of BoomBeam HID technology. Our complete upgrade kits are custom designed to replace older technology incandescent lamps and poorly performing LED lights without any structural changes to your aircraft.

While other aviation lighting fails due to burnout, vibration, filament failure, or just short lifecycle (an incandescent lamp may have to be changed as frequently as 20 hrs), we recognize this leads to unnecessary AOG time, reduction of a mission-readiness, and increased maintenance and operating costs. We address the needs of our clients for increased aircraft lighting and reliability. In fact we are so sure of the dependability of our BoomBeams, we offer a 5 year 5,000 hour warranty on all our BoomBeam lighting kits.
